IGNAZIO BOSCHETTO, PIERO BARONE E GIANLUCA GINOBLE
A project by Michele Torpedine e Tony Renis
IL VOLO is composed by three young Italian tenors, discovered in 2009 during a TV Talent Show “Ti Lascio una canzone”.
Their names are Ignazio Boschetto, Piero Barone and Gianluca Ginoble and they are 15, 16 and 14.
IL VOLO is produced by Michele Torpedine (manager and producer for several years of Andrea Bocelli and Zucchero, among the others) and Tony Renis.
Recently IL VOLO has taken part as special guest to Sanremo Festival and they performed in front of Queen Rania of Jordan.
IL VOLO also took part to the project “We are the World for Haiti”, in which they are the only Italian artists requested directly by the producers Quincy Jones and Humberto Gatica.
The Young Three Italian Tenors are among the 80 International stars who took part to the recording by the Henson Recording Studios in Hollywood – the same where in 1985 Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie recorded the original version. Among the others Celine Dion, Akon, Carlos Santana, Barbra Streisand, Enrique Iglesias, Usher, Pink, Black Eyed Peas, ecc.
Furthermore IL VOLO has recently signed a recording agreement with Jimmy Iovine, President of Geffen, label of the Universal Group USA. It’s the first time at all that an Italian Artist signs a contract with an American label.
They started their recording activity in September 2009, produced by Tony Renis and Humberto Gatica. The record will be released within 2010.
The worldwide management is by Michele Torpedine and Tony Renis.
